Filtered cosmetic-grade beeswax, sourced in Canada. It seals the surface, fills micro-scratches, and gives the wood a faint, warm scent that fades over a few days. No paraffin. No synthetic blends.
100% pure tung oil — pressed from the nut of the tung tree. Unlike mineral oil, tung oil polymerises into the wood grain, hardens, and will never go rancid. The finish that the best old furniture is made with.
No mineral oil. No solvents. No drying agents. No fragrance. Just two things that have been finishing wood since before electricity.
Wipe the surface clean and dry with a soft cloth.
Scoop a small amount onto a soft cloth. Apply a thin coat along the grain.
Let stand 10 minutes. The wood will pull what it needs.
Buff with a clean cloth until the surface is soft to touch.
Re-apply monthly, or whenever the wood looks thirsty.
For food-contact surfaces: apply thin, wipe excess, allow 24 hours before use. A little goes a long way.
